Saving Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Endangered Species Youth Art Contest

We had over 70 entries in the Art Contest this year and are very proud of all those that participated. As a bonus we entered a display of the art in the Contra Costa County Fair and won a directors award and students were given ribbons for first, second and third place. 

Congratulations to our winners. The Contest Grand Prize went to Emma Chad, a student at Holy Rosary School in Antioch. 

She won some art supplies and in her honor her class was given a gift certificated of classroom art supplies and a free pizza party. 





We had two showings of the students artwork. One at Big Break Regional Shoreline Park and one at the Contra Costa Fairgrounds. Here are our pictures:
 
 
 
 
 
Big Break Regional Shoreline Art Show. Some of the students dropped by and received special certificates from their teacher who helped them build sculptures of the endangered species. 

 
 
 
CCC Fair photos of the display the DSC won a Directors Award with. Some great work from the students. Each student won a ribbon from the fair for first, second or third place. All students also received a participation ribbon from the DSC.
