Upcoming Events Oakley Science Week--April 21 - 28, 2012 Delta Science Center Day Extreme Delta: Exploring the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta--April 28 -- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 450 Walnut Meadows Drive, Oakley (Ironhouse Sanitary District offices) Delta Science Center -- Come explore the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta meet the fish that swim in the San Joaquin and Sacramento Rivers, see some of the water weeds that are making it difficult to for the fish and recreation. Find out about endangered species on the Delta and more. Ironhouse Sanitary District -- Come learn about sewer science with Dr. Ironhouse. Learn about how the water you flush and pour down your drain is treated in the District's new state-of-the-art facility, take a tour and do some water testing. You'll also learn how you can help recycle household cooking grease into bio-fuel. Diablo Water District -- Come learn about the water you drink, where it comes from and how to keep it clean. Big Break Regional Shoreline Park EB Parks Big Break Regional Shoreline Park is open for visitors and gives great view of the Sacramento-San Joaquin (along the San Joaquin River) Delta for the whole family to enjoy. |
